Do I need to replace my existing CCTV cameras to use AI surveillance?
In most cases, no. If your cameras output a standard RTSP stream (most IP cameras from 2015 onwards do), we connect the AI layer to your existing infrastructure. Only analogue systems without IP encoding require hardware changes.
What events can the AI detect?
Common detection types include: person detection, vehicle detection, loitering (person in zone > N seconds), perimeter crossing, object left behind (unattended bag), crowd formation, face detection (not recognition without compliance review), and custom zone entry/exit alerts.
Is facial recognition included?
We do not deploy facial recognition by default due to GDPR, biometric data regulations, and operational liability. We can include it where legally permissible and appropriate for the use case (e.g., access control in a secured facility), with a full compliance review first.
How is this different from standard motion-triggered alerts?
Motion triggers fire on any movement — wind, animals, lighting changes — creating constant false alarm fatigue. AI detection understands what is in the scene: it can distinguish a person from a tree branch, a vehicle from a reflection, and a genuine loiter from someone waiting for a few seconds.
